We published our very first edition of Kids Nation magazine in September 2014.
What are we facing?
One-third of youth globally experience bullying in school.
The average 2-year-old child hears 432 negative statements per day, but only 32 positive statements each day, according to a research study at the University of Iowa.
Rise in hospital admissions for young people with eating disorders. Most of the 2,560 who went to hospital as inpatients were very young – 15 was most common age, and some were under 5.
In the US alone, more than 24 million children live in a home without the physical presence of a father. Millions more have dads who are physically present, but emotionally absent.
We’ve been asking this question: “What if we could do something about it?”In fact, there’s a lot we can do! ...starting with our own family and community.
We exist to empower children, youths and generations to come, through the use of creative media and storytelling.
We believe that every child is valuable and has a purpose.
We see future generations, who know their identity and their value.
We see future generations, who stand up for what’s right, love mercy and walk humbly.
We see future generations who are wise and live full of purpose.
We featured young contributors for the first time in Edition 8.
We started featuring children's artwork on Kids Nation magazine cover. What a joy to highlight kids and seeing them beaming with excitement. We also partnered with school for the first time - UWCSEA Dover, in Edition 10.
We started making comic strips and including them in Kids Nation magazine.
We started a Youtube channel and began making inspirational videos for kids.
